sry duder i'm not trying to be mean, and i didn't mean to have u defending ur self. i think the main issue is when ppl no one knows come off as being know it alls and overall kinda condescending.
this is especially prevalent when they start to talk about all the non moped they have built and rode etc etc etc. Its just a vibe that i feel insults the community of moped tuners.
and its a personal pet peeve, sry no ones perfect, nothing personal to u tho.
you seem to know alot about 2 strokes and thats great but u have yet to know alot about mopeds and the ppl who ride them, theirs more to it than just the numbers let me explain a little.
i know there are faster bikes and better tuners out there, lots of em too but spitting theory and dyno numbers means nothing to me and most members. i want to blast with you instead, i could care less how fast i am actually going or how much power it actually has etc. i care about PURE BLASTING, when ur in the front at a 200 bike rally and u got there 1st u know ur shit is epic then when shaw passes u a second later u step it up next rally and blast harder. its all R&D around here cuz most ppl are trying to make bikes with 1 gear perform like bikes with many gears. the variator crowd also has certain goals. There are alot of things we have still yet to accomplish in the neo-moped community and that we are still learning when someone else tells us what we have done so far is easy or they could accomplish the same feats overnight etc. most ppl get a bit turned off. It is also very common place for ppl coming from another mechanical field (moto or auto) and talk the talk then they fail at the starting line, i've seen it often b4 and it will happen again and again. IMHO building mopeds is an art not a science, they are so simple yet so complex (beyond the motor and technical aspects), there is no by the book. So when ppl come into this community talking like that i can't just up and respect cuz i've seen it happen so many times. Its not saying that u can't be a great ped builder or anything i don't consider my moped building skills all that amazing, its just a reoccurring type of person that until one of them steps its up and blasts me or builds a homemade powervalve onto a stock moped jug i just can't respect.

as for dyno results thats very expensive so i have been told we are trying to work out a deal with the shop down the street to dyno a few bikes but its not gonna happen till after the holidays.
when i was referring to rpms and needle position i obviously meant the air flow, its easier to explain to ppl if u think about it as rpms effecting flow. sry.
and yes i understand the whole idea that just cuz my intake its 19 my carb doesn't need to be but, it just keeps going down the line to why is my intake even 19? cuz thats what came with the 4 pedal polini adapter, why is that 4 pedal reedblock that size? who says that the reed block is even appropriate for my setup at all, it was made for a peugeot... hey u know what it still blasts faster then everyone else so fuck it.
