Having trouble installing Carburetor

Hey all, I'm in the process of installing a new 15 SHA Dellorto on my Minarelli V1, and I've discovered that there isn't enough clearance between the mouth of the intake and the frame to fit the carburetor. I'm using one of the 15mm puch intakes from treats.

Does anyone know of a part that will work better? My next plan of attack is to try to rig up a spacer with some hose and clamps to stick the carb out an inch or two. Has anyone else tried something like this?

Here's a masterful rendering of the problem:

Re: Having trouble installing Carburetor

You can A) get a new/longer intake, or B) try the hose/clamp method. I've seen many people with the hose extension. Your on the right track.

Re: Having trouble installing Carburetor

You need to use a Minarelli intake like this one. Or bore out the old stock one to 15 mm if you can. Or rig it up like you mentioned. The choice is yours.

Cool. Thanks for the help guys, I think my first try will be rigging up a hose spacer, since I already have the intake.

Re: Having trouble installing Carburetor

Give it a shot. Weeder's Minarelli intake suggestion is ideal. It is angled away from the frame. Good luck.
