I got these from treats, but they don't seem to be the same size as the springs already inside the stock clutch. They are the variating kind. They look way to small. Anyone installed these? Any tips?

Nope, I had the same problem. Don't bother trying, without the long straight section they absolutely will not fit, as the coiled part is too wide to let the arm slip onto the pivot post. Total loss.
are you guys talking about the little tiny clutch springs (3 sets of 3 - in different colors)?
I bought those from Benji too - will they not even work in a Grande clutch, as advertised?
Yeah, the springs from treats. they are missing that long straight section. Anyone get these to work? bump.
Do you think that Benji just accidentally got the springs confused and the one's he sold us weren't intended for grande clutches?
i had those springs. i made them fit and they would not work. they work perfectly on my non-variated vespa clutches though? i think somehow they got mixed up and are meant for non-variated clutches.
Benji didnt get mixed up, mine said variator (in dutch) on the box. They must be for some other kind of piaggio bike, though, cause they definitely dont work on a Grande/Bravo/Si variator.
But Benji clearly had these listed as working on a Grande.
Listen,...I know Benji is a great guy, but do we ask for our money back on these? I paid over $30 for these, with shipping.
For sure. I'm sure that he has no idea they are the wrong shit and would more than likely give you your money back. Personally I would take a credit and buy something else and have him ship it for free...
Benji rulez.
Benji does rule,......credit would be fine with me.
Yeah, he already offered me my money back on mine, so no harm, no foul.
So has anyone gotten these to work and been pleased with the results? Benji told me that he's sold like 30 or 40 of them already and is just now getting word back that they might not be good.
i got mine from him forever ago, once i saw they were wrong, i just put them in a box and forgot about them. i should have let him know, but i spaced it. they were cheap and i'm not worried about it.
yeah, I'm surprised I hadn't heard about these working earlier.
