Heres mine, clearly needs alot of work, I want to see what you guys have done with yours! After seeing the Moby thread, I was inspired. So show me what you got!
cool bike.
I want a black bulldog!
sick
peugeot is the best moped ever created. nothing about it is janky. every possible problem with a peugeot has a great reliable solution. ie gurtner can be replaced and ignition can be replaced with puch.
i love my peugeot. i ride it in sf and can easily fly up any hill. even when i ride doubles, my bike takes off like a fucking rocket ship. and does't ever stop.
setup on rigid blue peugeot
stock bottom end and crank matched for polini
polini 70cc heavily ported.
20mm delorto knock off.
4 petal intake polini
ninja g3
mallossi varplus variator.
modified stock clutch 3-ball
puch ignition (best mod for any peugeot , but no the black internal one, just regular stock puch ingition coils)
homemade tension spring (stiffer than stock)
uni filter
streamers
fast as fuck
funzi 2.75 tires

Wow! that is one clean looking bike man. Did you do the work on it yourself? If so, would you mind helping me with some questions about mine?
yeah dude. fire away. i am one of the mechanics at 1977 mopeds. i will try to post a better pic tomorrow. where you can really see my motor.
thats fucking sick dude. i want a Pug reeeeeally bad.
Right now I'm just wondering how much work I really have ahead of me... I have no decomp lever, but there is a decomp on the head, I have no electrical hooked up right now, no lights no speedo, no back brakes, and a very slippery throttle that is stripped at the part where the cable goes in. It ALSO likes to stall at lights or any stops unless the choke is engaged, which is pretty dangerous to reach down and do while I'm riding.
if you were to bring that bike into the shop i would probably tell you 4-6 hour estimate. you have a lot of work ahead of you. rebuild the topend, if not the bottom end too. get all new cables!!!!!! makes live good!!!!!!! electrical is easy. 2 hours if you have never done it before. i would recommend pulling out ALL electrical wiring and hardwiring it.
put your bike on the stand for a week or so and fix everything. don't rush it. just take your time and do it right the first time. if you have any specific questions, check out the wiki for some general how-to overhauls like topend, bottom end, carb, blah blah.
I think i might have to leave this to somebody with a bit more skill with engines, exhaust i could do, but all this wiring and stuff... i dont know... im just unsure about how alot of my moped works like the variator and starter clutches and whatnot, im just not finding much explanation on these functions.
the best way to learn is take shit apart and put it back together just how you found it. replacing gaskets and parts with wear as you go. there are only 3 wires on a peugeot, the whole mess of them everywhere can be kindof intimidating.
So If I can only see a red one, something is up? I know to have it on the road here i need to have a killswitch, how would I wire that up? Thats the problem with this thing, the electrical was not there when I got it, and now I dont know how to hook any of it up... the engine stuff I think I can deal with, its more the electrical im intimidated by..

shhhhh.....wait for it, after thanksgiving before christmas
yay to opening up that intake, kirk. good move.
Thanks a lot man!
You really helped me out with your advice on the dremel work.
I pulled out a good amount more and opened up the intake a good amount as well.
I'm stoked to put her back together after thanksgiving.
I need a vice though, I might bring in my variator in to 77 to get it mounted up to a spare stock clutch I have.
I used to work at a bicycle shop with a bike table vice but now I'm with out.
piece of cake duder. we can mount those things in like 15mins.
I want to live in sf :(
here is another pic. might be kinda big. this pic does not feature my current handlebars, or the 20mm phbg. everything else is about the same.

You ride with no cover on the variator like that?
did you buy that peugeot frame from a guy in Daly city? with a 102 engine on it?
if so, I took the gascap, ha ha ha
nice nice.
oh man, pug rigids are sooooo dope.
He's too modest to post, but this is my buddy's awesome custom Peugeot. I've never seen another one like it. The pic doesn't do it justice, really, but it's all I got. The Moby is mine. The pug BLASTS. Full water cooled Polini build. It's awesome.

Oh...and this is at Flock Yeah before he put the Polini on.
lets keep this thread goin'! i need more inspiration for my pug too!
Honestly you guys are ARTISTS. I really hope I can get mine even half as sexy as yours.
DROOL.
kustom
btw its funny you can't really tell if a pug is kitted, all the cylinders look the same.
