Ok so I put a 65 merta on my very good condition za but it makes me worried that it wont last long the way it shifts at such a high rpm . I know Paz has had done it to rebuilt engines but I dont know how hard he rips that shit . I am 240 lbs and am very hard on my vehicles including mopeds . So if I can restrain myself a little how long can I expect it to last ? Any ideal at all ? Paz ?

Letting of before you shift helps lessen the load on the pucks but dose not alleviate all wear on them.
With the 85cc parma I had to let off the throttle to shift because the 2nd gear could not grab with the amount of hp at peak 1st gear rpm. On my 80 metra I would hold WOT and hard shift the bike into second all the time. With the pucks I made to replace the OEm ones with there has been no breakage or tooth damage.
I do custom za builds if you are interested down the road.
Paz, why don't you sell me a set of those pucks. I need some for a rebuild.
If nothing else, try to find some new shift dampening pucks. They harden over the years, and become pretty much useless.
Paz, what's your take on flipping the second clutch?

In kitted bikes I always flip the 2nd speed clutch over. I have never really played with a stock two speed so I'm not sure if it would be beneficial.
What do you gain by flipping the 2nd speed clutch?
It delays when the 2nd clutch catches to shift the bike into 2nd gear.
How much of a pain in the ass is it to replace the pucks and flip the 2nd gear clutch ?
not any at all. 2 nuts need to be loosened. If your quick, maybe 15 minutes.
