64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

King Drunky JCams /

Damn, that shit feels FAST!

After a long break-in... I got my Pinto up to 64mph - as gauged by a Honda 250 Reflex. Side by side on U.S. 1. A red light was coming up and I had to back off, the bike, believe it or not felt as if it was still climbing...

1978 Pinto

1996 Korado cdi kickstart E50

75cc Gila

Custom Intake

18mm Mikuni - 20 pilot - 85 main - no filter

17x40

Simonini exhaust

Nifty "NEW" Five Stars

2.5" Gazelles F&R

Here it is...

Gonna be all red when I get it powdercoated.

Possibly chromed wheels... still undecided.

P.S. - I took off the plastic fairing since this photo was taken.

Fuckin' A!

The fastest moped I've ever ridden.

The fastest moped of my fast moped collection.

Just got back, had to tell you guys.

Feels fucking awesome.

Gotta go ride more right now.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

congrats!

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

well done! Best I have clocked my gila at so far is 66.7. Last Sunday my buddy clocked me at 72 downhill on his mb5 with a cr80 motor. I he said that he promises the speedo is dead on. I don't know if I believe 72 though. I really need a chance to get her rev'd out and see what it really does. Gila has lots of potential.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

King Drunky JCams /

66 isn't revved out?

My shit was revvin!

I think once I get my GPS for X-mas... wink, wink

I'll be able to post more accurate speeds of my peds.

None of my fast bikes like speedos... they snap cables regularly.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

shouldn't you be out riding?!?

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

J Cams!

Nice work.

Are you ready to step up and accept "fastest bike in Florida" status?

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

King Drunky JCams /

Maybe, Steve, just maybe.

There's only one way to find out...

My low-end is no monster, but the top sure is...

64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

i've hit close to 70 downhill on a step-through. most likely 68. shits scary. all you gotta do is hang on tight and hope for the best.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

damn congrats man! must feel good, once i receive the parts for my bike i'l hopefully break 65 finally. then after that, who knows what i'l do next!! lol

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

Thanks All!

My 18 tooth sprocket will be in this week sometime.

Should be nutty.

Toad, no email.

Did you send to cambpelljusin77@yahoo.com?

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

Nice bike, that pipe frame makes it look like half engine.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

JCam, do you have a picture of the other side of that pinto? Looks really nice, btw.

I was looking at these Analog GPS speedometers. They're for boats, but strangely enough, the readout is in MPH. For marine I'd expect knots. Nice, but expensive. Has anyone used anything like this, and how well does it indicate low speed?

That speedo looks great.

Wonder if you anybody has tried one...

Did not see a price though...

Here's a pic I just went outside and snapped for you.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

thats sick man. i dont think my 80metra will hit 64. Im thinking people are finally starting to tap into the true potential or the Gila monster.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

yeah, that's where i sent email. i'll try again now. if you still don't get one shoot me an email at the address in my profile

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

just tried again. FAIL. shoot me an email

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

I think the GPS analog speedometers go for around $300 - $500. It kinda sucks they're so expensive, but it's cool that stuff like that exists somewhere.

Nice job on the intake. I wanted the pic to see where you put the carb. I have a Pinto that I'm trying to keep stock looking, and would like to keep the plastic sidecovers. Now where to put the 20mm PHBG. Hmm...

Did you have to add aluminum to the case for the Gila?

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

what's that red little bag on the cross bar? cool bike btw

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

King Drunky JCams /

Yeah, my friend Jamie made the intake.

Works great.

No, I did not have to add material to the case... just a lot of dremel work to make it fit.

Noogie,

The little red bag holds my registration paper work, and my metal vin tag. I removed it so I can powdercoat, but I want to still be able to show the vin plate to the cops if need be. Sewed up the bag with the same material I made the seat from.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

ahh, got ya. i thought you might have a tiny little battery or something in there ha.

Re: 64 MPH!!! Woohoo!

gila's are sick, 62mph on 18x45 gearing.

on a side note, GET BETTER FORKS!
