peugeot 50cc kit / treats

is this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/peugeot-103-moped-malossi-polygon-50cc-cylinder-kit-TSM_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ35618QQihZ008QQitemZ180266907881QQtcZphoto a real alternative to a higher cc kit? i can see that it has 6 ports and that seems like a significant boost from stock, and the prospect of it being mildly fuel efficient seems cool. does anyone know anything about it?

peugeot 50cc kit / treats

Are you thinking of tossing it on with a smallish carb and stock pipe? If so, then you are going to be really really mad. That kit needs a big carb and a good pipe to perform.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

well i'm throwing a 15.15 on it this weekend and i would definitely upgrade the pipe if i got a kit. i was thinking of that mid range (price not power) simonini one they have on treats as well the one for $125

that one

🇮🇹💦 Of the Loin /

50 kits need variator/pipe/carb, in that order.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

ahhh so basically maxivar first,i read that a kit/pipe will destroy your low end on a pug. zat true?

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

most of the kits want rpm's, exhaust open duration is high.

Well anyway the instructions are right to the right of the post box.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

I'm building a 50/50 pug right now.

I'm going for a malossi polygon 50cc from treats matched to stock cases.

20mm dellorto

malossi 4 pedal intake

doppler pipe

malossi cdi

and

multivar

I'm going to gear for wheelies, I don't care about going 60 anymore, I want to go from 0-35 in 4 seconds, then top out around 40.

The only thing I'm having trouble finding is a performance 50cc head. I don't want to use a stock one.

comments on the purposed set up?

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

a 50/50 pug that tops out at 40? mmmm.....

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

ha ha ha ha...

I meant it would be a 50 50 pug with the gearing I have now, I would re-gear to get some sick low end and blast peeps off the line.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

Yeah I agree, it's about acceleration, fuck top speed and who really cares?

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

im with you folks on the acceleration level, i don't care about going 60, id be happy with 45 and some decent accel. that's the only reason i'm even thinking about this kit. seems like a hell of an investment if i gotta get the multivar as well tho.

pipe + kit i could handle, but all three

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

that kit will be far from "mildly efficient"

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

There is nothing about these 50cc kits that make them any lower performance than their 70cc counterparts. They are on the same echelon or higher. They rev higher and will go faster on the same gearing as the 70cc equivalent.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

that blows my mind and excites me at the same time.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

Overall, What is the opinion of everyone? Go with the 50cc or the 70cc? I'm about to get down on two this winter, keeping one modified stock and was thinking the other one70cc, but.....if the 50cc are sweet, maybe I'll get down on one of those instead. How are the tjt variators compared to the multivar? What about cases? match stock to the kit or are the race cases worth it?

That being asked/said: a screaming 50 is way sweeter than a slugish 60+ any day.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

hey all. you can have both. screaming acceleration and super top speed. its possible. needs more tuning if you can't do it on a pug.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

I feel you there zach. That is most certainly true.

Any thoughts on the differences in the tjt and the malossi variators? and thoughts on the 50cc vs 70cc kits? Thanks.

Re: peugeot 50cc kit / treats

awesome! Will, that was my next question, tjt or malossi variator?

anyone have intel?
