Aren't the stock air boxes supposed to have a bunch of layers of metal inside them or something? I just broke the seal on the air box from my 84 Maxi, and all that was inside was the puck.
So much for taking out some layers to increase air flow.

You can pry those screens out with a tiny screw driver I believe... Or you can buy that high flow filter off the kid on the buy sell for 10 bucks or get a new one for 15-20...

Drill some holes in your puck and cover it with a layer of panty hose.
I think so... I believe it's just a bunch of different mesh screens stacked. Same as the Dellorto style one...
