Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

What difference does the number of teeth on the sprocket make? If you were going to buy the doppler pulley, what advantages would you expect from putting it on the bike? How would you determine which sprocket to buy?

Re: Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

The doppler pulley is lighter than the stock pulley which = less rotational mass. If your planning on putting it on a AV7 engine, you should stick with a 11 tooth. If you have a high RPM AV10 setup you could go with a 12 or 13.

Re: Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

go with the 11t.

I'm running the 11t pulley with a rear 48 sprocket (54 is stock) on my av10 setup, it tops out around 60mph and still shreds the whole way there.

with the 11t you have more rear sprocket options thus more ability to fine tune it i think, cuz basically the next step down is a 45t (puch) or 44t(unvariated moby) rear sprocket, i know my bike can pull that now with the loss of midrange, but I would be hard pressed to pull even a 48t rear with a 12t front (11x48 is slightly taller than even 12x54). I almost want a 10T or 9T front so i can play with puch rear cogs more cuz there are lots of em..

if u run a tall 13 or 12 ur stuck with the stock moby rear cog for the most part, the largest moby cog i have is a 60t, but i have seen pictures of larger ones... alas we are not in france.

Re: Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

Thanks for the advice. How many teeth are on the stock sprocket?

Re: Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

most common one i've seen is 11

Re: Doppler Pulley and Sprocket Question

Thanks for the tips! Just ordered mine from QK tonight!
