Dellorto PHBG Installation

I just got a Dellorto PHBG racing edition and an puzzled about all of the ports on the thing. The big upward pointing port is obviously fuel, there seems to be a vacume port in front of the slide. There is a horizontal pointiong port on the side of the carb which I think is for oil injection? This is important because I have a Tomos and it has oil injection. Then there are two ports up higher on the carb body by the slide. Are these bowl vents that don't need to be hooked up to anything?

Finaly I can't seem to find the choke but there is another nipple for a cable of some sort and it attaches to a slide valve thing. Is this for cold start enrichment? Does anyone bother to hook this up?

So I think I can hook my oil injection to the side port, the fuel to the big upward facing port, cap off the port in front of the slide and keep the old enrichment valve unhooked up?

I did a search and can't find anything.

Some Excellent PDF files in there for you to read up on the Carb. Seeing as you are tuning nerd....im sure you'll love it. Shows not only all the different parts but also how to tune one correctly.

Enjoy.

BTW, the second nipple is in fact the choke. On the Racing version, it uses a cable choke instead of a lever style choke like in other models.

Re: Dellorto PHBG Installation

Thank you for the reply. I was wondering if the pull up lever like the one 1977 sells can be fitted, it looks like it can. I was also wondering if the oil injection line can be fitted to one of the vacume ports like it is on the stock carb?
