tune your bike by changing timing, gap size, dwell time. and ok, you can change the needle in your carb, but thats about IT!!!!!!
FUCK IT!!!!!
any believers?

kinda. I do believe timing is much more important than jetting. Like you can jet it right but if ignition sucks, why bother, right? I like big main jets.
dunno about the woodruff keys though.
lol i haven't rejetted yet. 4 stroking? get less air filter.
ohhh god i feel your pain with woodruff keys
fuck them so bad. fuck their mothers
Fuck 'em in the goat-ass, those damn woodie keys, those...
power to the points!!!!
bump!!!!!! time yer engines manually, not by factory!!!!!!
whats dwell time?
dwell IS time
the amount of time your points are closed, building up a charge. probably measured in milliseconds. dwell time.
harold isnt a bad dude, a great guy indeed! he was nice enough to stop for me when i broke down and throw my bike in his truck.
basically a complete stranger, except for the time we rode up franklin while he was on the peoples champ..
none the less seems ok in my book?
er, what?
* a targaped post was deleted here thus rendering ell's response nonsensical
hahaha, i was wondering if that's what happened.
haha! fuck carb tuning. you don't have to do it!!!!
currently tuning an a55 airsal with no jetting. Yay fun!
FUCK woodruff keys for sure! FUCK THEM!!!!
welcome to the world of a vespa lee!!
hahahahahahaha
welcome???? i've been in that world!!!!
this applies to all mopeds. i have never jetted my ciao or my magnum!!! one jet and off we go!!!!
by the way fuck woodruff keys not because they break or are difficult, but because doing the timing yourself is WAY more effective.!!
fix my vespa then. its jetting has never made logical sense. EVER.
put on kit + pipe = big jet
put on better kit with same pipe = SMALLER JET
better cases and bigger carb = EVEN SMALLER JET
whta is happening. bahahahaha
stop changing the jet. advance your timing.
there is a happy medium though. the more advanced your ignition is, the hotter your engine runs. I'm sure you've seen holes burned through piston crowns before. Jetting and timing are important to get the most out of an engine.
now to figure out how do to that with this cdi....
Zack,
Explain what ur talking about.
I'm trying get in on this tuning style but I don't know how to do it.
How do you tune based on timing. I advanced my timing once and blew a hole in my piston AND ruined my crank and blew a seal, in Toledo, Ohio i tsucked.
How do i tune based on timing. why don't i need a woodruff?
wassup wit dat
lol
