could it be i have the stock intake? (13mm id) horrible sharp bends
have a 4 petal and 21oko that i am waiting to make an intake and reed block for (little winter casting project)

Intake is your literal bottle neck at the moment. Everything else is putting the cart before the horse at this point in time.
I'd say your doing pretty good thru a stock intake and carb. Are you also running the stock gear ratio too.

Its the gear ratio! For sure. If your only compaint is 47mph, then just gear out. That's what all the Puch tuners who are getting up into the fifties are doing.
nah bret... my friend has a 70cc piston port kit on his a35 and he is running the same gearing i am and he is hitting 55ish with 15mm carb and intake and biturbo
i dont have any lowend either..
could be the pipe, but i think it has to go with the intake again....

Thread hijack:
How critical is it to run a "performance" pipe after installing a larger bore kit? Sometimes I hear that it will not hurt performance that much, other times I hear that it will massively ruin performance if one runs a stock pipe.
It's just a total waste to go through the trouble of kitting a bike, and then holding it back with the crap stock exhaust.
