Korado ?....

Picked up a nice pedal-less Korado yesterday and I have a question for those with knowledge on the Kickstart E50's.

What will I need to convert it over to pedal start (engine wise)? Is it as simple as gutting a regular E50 for the parts or does the rearranged gearing on the Korado have an affect that will make it difficult?

FYI...I have no way to make it legal otherwise

Re: Korado ?....

i'll trade you motors. easy as that

Re: Korado ?....

I'll trade a standard e50 some $ and I'll cover shipping both ways...

Re: Korado ?....

same here

Re: Korado ?....

You can't convert it to pedal start unless you swap the engine. Sadly, your korado rims will not have a free wheel, so you can't do it unless you put on a Tomos motor or Italian with the pedals in the case. Your best bed would be to put your Korado motor on a Maxi frame that already has pedals.

King Drunky JCams /

Buk - what do you mean?

There really is no problem here...

They sold kickstart Korados in the state of FL.... New... You can register it and ride it with no pedals...

They are completely legal to use... the are 49cc, modern motors... the same as a 49cc scooter with a kickstarter... no pedals required...

I'm running a kickstart E50 from a Korado on my Pinto...

Again, completely legal... aside from the kitting, etc...

All the cops have said to me is wear eye protection...

Just register it and ride!

Re: Korado ?....

I got a35 w/ pedal that I'd trade as well...

Re: Korado ?....

dont trade with these fools. sell it for big money, then buy a regular e50 and put a kit on with the money you earned.

Re: Korado ?....

I will buy for big money as well. I thought I had one of these but it went to Taylor instead. I have a project that is kickstart only and this is exactly what I'm looking for.

Hell I'll give you an e50 and a kit if that would do it.

Re: Korado ?....

HAha..I wasn't born yesterday guys. Logic tells me it can be done since some Korado's came with a pedal set running through the swingarm mount (like a maxi). Suppose I should just find someone with the pedal version and swap it out...

Justin, Although I could probably get away with it for a while all it takes is one pissed of cop to impound my baby. It hasn't a title...and without pedals it's considered a scooter. I know a few that ride without them and are find...also know of some that got caught. Mainly I just like having pedals...

Re: Korado ?....

I'll throw in a pedal shaft and crank arms...

Re: Korado ?....

Here's a pedal version...same rims just has two sprockets instead of one.

I imagine a Maxi or Mag shaft might work but I still need to know about the engine itself.

Derek I have no plans on letting go of the engine.

Re: Korado ?....

If its a matter of legality, I know it sounds ghetto but could you not just kind of jimmy jig some peddles, you know, just for show?

Re: Korado ?....

I'm halfway there...
