So after tearing up SF a while ago I determined that it is much easier to make our bikes go fast than it is to slow down.... Even with fresh shoes and accurate adjusting our brakes where never designed for 55+ mph. Unfortunately there isn't much for bolt on disk brake solutions, especially for italian bikes, so I started researching.

Well Tomos has them, sturdy forks, disk brakes, yada yada. I locate one, pillage it but there is one thing, Tomos uses a 17 in the front and a 16 in the rear , and on top of that they are spokes. Im not a real fan of spokes, at least not on the baretta, plus the rear wheel would have required some major modification to work... I want my mags, period. Well in steps the ultra top secret Tom Cruiser Skunkworks with a perfect solution! Put a disk brake on the mags! Easy right? Well, I designed a disk, bolted it on, spaced the caliper and viola! Instant mag disk brakes! Of course I converted to sealed bearings for security purposes. Im waiting on my rear wheel to arrive from a friendly MA member, also need to shorten the hydraulic line, and then I will be ready to go. I have disk designed for italian mags and tomos mags, and Im also researching a means to attach to factory forks, dual piston calipers, and other wheel designs. Yay!
