I actually think your jet will be in the 70's. check the spreadsheet again for puch people with 16 dels and 70 kits!! try the 82 that comes in the carb. i bet its four stroke city!!

Do you put the piston with those holes in it up towards intake or towards exhaust? I would guess exhaust right

And i cant get mine to idle, not sur what problem is. I had 82 in there and running a 74

Good luck bro hehe. Today i am gonna work on trying to figure out why it wont idle. Any ideas? it idle'd pretty good before, a little high, but idle pretty well.

The kit is fast, I drove it around for maybe 20 miles to warm it up, then hit about 80% thottle real quick cause a honda civicold one was trying to ride my ass, that thing kicks! Gained ground on him very quick like was at 35 in no time at all with not even full throttle , i wonder how fast this kit is after i break it in. He got mad and started flouring it lol, but i was still gaining ground on him till he hit about 40mph in a 30( i hit about 33 real quick from about 16) . Then i pulled to the side and let him pass me cause he was obviously a retard trying to race me on a moped. I hope he felt like shit being out accelarated by a ped at 75% throttle.

Any ideas on my idling problem? Im running dellorto 16 and 74 jet now, 82 seemed to kinda 4 stroke but maybe it wasnt warmed up. Will try 80 today and my 78.

You think my piston is upside down and that why it dies so quick? I pretty sure i had them up, i will double check today, if it upside down, would it have done any damage from 20 miles of riding ? i it about 75% thottle max---

Im pretty sure i got them up, but i will doubel check. What is that little screw on the throttle cable and the one on teh side with the spring?

The screw on the throttle cable is to adjust tension, and the screw with the spring on it is the idle adjustment.

I got up to 38 last night before i ran outta room and i was still accelrating at a nice rate at 75-80% throttle . I was running a 14x45 too and i hear that is not for speed but for torque. Plus i prolly got an air leak somewhere and it wasnt tuned in at all. Ate up that hill tha was raping me too. My ped was stalling on it . like stopping and wanting to roll backwards lol. I took it about 25 last night, but my ford focus new model has trouble on that.

So what jet are you running?

I went down to an 83 because of the crazy 4stroking the 90 was. Low end is much better than stock, but still breaking in. Once its broken in, I could mess with the timing, but also plan on switching exhausts. Anyone have a pipe they want to trade for a circuit?

I forgot to add, when I'm going around 25-30mph, and let off the throttle completely for a few seconds and try to give it throttle again, it bogs down to around 10mph or so, and recovers. No matter how much I finess the throttle, it seems like it almost chugs out. Maybe the cylinder gets filled with gas? Pretty clueless.

I went on like a 25 to 30 mile ride the last night and i noticed mine was doin the same thing except it wouldnt idle to begin with. Was a pain in the ass but the ride was badass. At the very end my ped wouldnt start though, i was very low on gas, but there was some in there. It did the same the first day i got it, rode it then it died on me. I shook it and heard gas in it im pretty sure, but once i filled it up it started. Anyone else have troubles when low on gas but not totally empty. It was really low.

I've got some great news! After putting a total of 45 miles on it, it started to sputter and finally died and couldn't be restarted. Carb was spotless, and was getting spark. was getting gas. Found out the plug was fouled out. I still have the 83 jet in it, would it be safe to downjet some more? I have an 80 and 82. I understand you need to run rich for breaking in, but is this too rich? Other than that, it's running sweet. Joe

not too rich. I dont think the rings break-in and seat properly with too rich a mixture. Also SHA's suck balls.
