17mm bing

I just finished my custom sachs intake that i made from a puch header. I am putting a 17mm round bing from one of those magnum x's. My setup is a 505/ 1D with a welded biturbo. I am currently going about 33 mph with the stock setup. I was just wondering what kinda performance i could be expecting by getting rid of that stock 12mm and adding the 17. I also plan on doing some porting but ill save that for later. Thanks for the input!

What intake will you be using with the carb? That is what will make all the difference.

Re: 17mm bing

it has an 18mm ID Its a puch header cut and welded to a flange

Re: 17mm bing

What did you make the flange from?

Re: 17mm bing

A piece of 3/16 steel plate

Re: 17mm bing

Its most likly .. No/everyone should know how to tune the carb for the cc/bike/moped or you going to make it a paper weight. Make sure you rejet the carb for the motor don't just think.. O kool that carb will look cool on this bike and put it on there and it runs great. Its a airpump. I would read and read and read and read and then read somemore. The are 2 books in pdf format I would read them if you want to know how to tune a 2 stroke.

The 17mm Bing is only a single jet carb.

New style dellortos are 3 jet so you can dial in the motor more. I ran one of these on a 60cc minarelli v1 motor I think it had 82 jet stock I ran a 88 with a special air filter. ed
