exhaust cut

i know there are alot of exhaust forums in the search and iv read them. i dont want to buy a biturbo because its a poopie pipe for my a55. treats has a techno bullet for an a35. do you think i would be safe to not upjet with the techno bullet. because i called tomos usa and they said you dont have to upjet with a biturbo. of course everything else is stock, just exhaust. but biturbo is the only pipe that will work. since the techno and biturbo are similar, do you think it would be ok?

not exhaust cut, haha. exhaust jetting

Re: exhaust cut

Buy a few jets with your pipe .1 2 3 sizes bigger than the one your running now .If you are spending the loot for a pipe then like ten bucks for a few jets should'nt be the deal breaker . Just buy them .You will eventually anyway. Search this topic , you'll see .

i was asking because i dont want to void the warrenty on it. the shop said i could do a pipe but no internals. if i rejet they wont cover my warrenty anymore.

Re: exhaust cut

So let me get this right...

The shop told you you could alter the engine by adding a performance exhaust, but you can't upjet or they will void your warranty? So basicly they are saying: Yes, make the engine run lean, and if it seizes we will be happy to pay for the repairs? Man, why are there no shops overhere who do business that way...

yea they've covered me for everything so far, oil pump, new carb, new airbox, new speedo light and headlight.

Re: exhaust cut

if you are worried about a warranty then don't fuck with your ped. then you will realize that it don't really matter either way. your shit will break down.

Re: exhaust cut

Better upjet, just swap in original jet if you blow it up. If your pipe works, you will need to upjet. I'm not sure if a jet would qualify as "internals," milling the head or expanding the ports would. just don't chew up the carb screws, so no one asks. I doubt anyone would do a "postmortem" like that on a warranty return anyway.

yes, true it will break down anyways, but i want it to break down doing the speed limit, not 10 under...
