15bing/techno boss set up

Hey guys;

I was running a 64cc polini (ported),15mm bing (80j et and clip set to richest setting) with a techno boss. Initially after the port it ran great and even afterwards (hit 58mph but for whatever reason as of 5 days ago it hasn't been running well. This is my first time using a bing and quite honestly they're too finicky for me.

here's the issue after i open up the bike and after 10-15mins my take off (1/4 throttle it bogs like crazy to the point bike wants to turn off. i know that 801 is a small jet but because i've been running it prior and had no issues i thought it was fine. does the 1/4 throttle bog/wanting to turn off mean that it's running lean? i would prefer someone who runs a boss to let me know or anyone else who knows bings, creature elliott, etc..

bt, even switched clip to stock and same issue still occuring...

I know you live in chicago and the jetting is different then cali but that jet is way too small. i started with an 80 and my shit would cut out and stuff. then i went up to a 100 for kicks and it ran but four stroked at full throttle. it was good at about a 96. i had the same set up but with a proma. try a 90 and see what happens. there are some cool threads on here but kinda hard to find. maybe search "jetting polini puch". I know rafter ran a 96 and harold says it should be in the 100's with similar set ups. watch out!! i seized the shit out of mine!!

I'm going to say that if you don't know how to tune your 15bing, I do not believe you hit 58mph on a Polini. Also, i would recommend an up jet.

i ran the 80 because of that damn spreadsheet!! that shit is all over the map!! polini's seem to run with any jet, its a matter of finding the right one!!

I'd lean out your needle position - then try about an 86 jet. But definitely lean the needle - it's a rare moped that runs right on the richest setting.

Thanx Rob,Responsible and Alan.Dmascari, Rob is right THE TUNER SPREADSHEET gives you a basis but is not the end all issue solution PLUS you havbe people using 80,90 and 100 jets with my setup. Responsible I totally agree with you but I didnt clock it, the cop that pulled me over did. I got off though, He was actually amazed, lol.The bike was running well with an 80, believe me people i've told here in Chicago don't believe the jet set I've had but it has worked before the suddedn change of temperature and a frnt gear chnge of 15 to 17.

we did a quick build today with a biturdo 15 bing and 14/36 gear. 82 or 84 jet. no polini tho, im gonna say mid to high 90s
