New to Tuning - Jet Q'

Okay... So I checked the spreadsheet and couldn't find a good answer. I just need a jet suggestion. Here's the setup: A35 (94' LX - cafe style, see profile), 65cc Airsal Kit (in the mail), Biturbo (homemade silencer), Stock 14/12 Dell - side 12 intake, Stock air filter (thinking about getting a UNI), gearing= 27/22... please - any jet suggestions are appreciated. I know absolutely nothing about tuning, but I want to learn. Thanks!

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

Anyone? Would a 58,59, or 60 be reccommended?

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

i would think you may have to go higher than that if you get a uni.

i ended up using a 60 and all i added was a techno estoril with a stock air box

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

thanks for the suggestion! I'll try a 60 out first.

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

I would suggest starting with about a 70 and working your way down. Always jet rich at first. ALWAYS. IT's not worth it to loose an engine by playing guess and check.

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

that makes a lot of sense. thanks, man. I'll start there are work my way down.

Re: New to Tuning - Jet Q'

^good advice. You can seize that kit running it lean, but running it rich is harmless. If you are new to tuning, start unreasonably high and work down, because it becomes very obvious which way you need to move. Once you are were you think you need to be, look up "plug chop" procedure, and do a couple to confirm that you are in the "safe range".
