So im thinking of building a single sided swingarm monoshock moped.
Has anyone ever thought about building one? the only hard part would be the rear wheel. INPUTTTTTTTT

oh they just had a post up like last month about this. i remember there was an orange one and it looked fuckin sweet.
didnt that one just have a mono shock i want to do a single sided swing arm as well but if its the one im thinking of yea that thing is bonkers
fa 50 .. or Ryan did one his profile.
and some one else did a pinto can't remember who it was. but neither of them did a single sided swing arm, but fa 50s do have a single sided swing arm it is also the tranny and pretty thick
yeah, you can make your swing arm, use an fa50 hub and lace it up to a larger rim.
the single sided part is what scares me
ps mike i have your sunglasses that you gave to ryan to hold. and i love them
Lots of work that could be spent on better things but that is my opinion. Single sided part is what would take a while. If you do it, don't use FA50 stuff to do it because it will look cheezy and you won't be happy.
Don't use an FA50.
Pug, Fox, CVT, 40+stock. I rented one in Bermuda for a week, great noped w/mono-shock single swingarm. Find one of these and use the rear end. The hardest part will be getting an axle strong enough.
the axle would be tricky, and you would need to use a wheel that has the brake drum inside the sprocket.
It'd look really cool if you did it right, and be what most scooters already have.
i was thinking a modded Aprillia RS50 rear wheel to eliminate the axle issue then just fabbing a one off tubed rear swing arm complete with eye hole for the mono shock....its just a thought for a winter project prob wotn happen but you never know haha.
