Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

I have a 1981 PA50II frame with a 1978 PA50II Engine on it. I converted the 78 engine to CDI. Anyhow, my speedo cable is broke and I have no clue how fast I am going. Either way...I know it's faster then 30. I mean, how!? I am all stock. Especially at night, this thing will fly. Gets kinda scary. All original engine, piston, rings and so on. I did clean the exhaust, cleaned the carb very very very well.

So am I just lucky? hahah I dunno.

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

I will take nonsensical rambling for $200, Alex.

What is over fifty if you tune it?

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

Damn, I wish me hobbit were that fast...

I can only get it to 25

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

Hahah Sorry. I tried to make sense. I guess I wanted to share my excitement with someone else. I also wanted to see if there was anyone else who's stock Hobbit is fast? It's all top end speed but still, it's nuts!

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

oh it's not going 50, comp. I would say like 40. Maybe a few digits more. But not 50. 50 is FAST for a ped IMO.

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

i build my motor too /

i bet a GPS would say you were going 34.

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

agreed. i though my motron was fast. gps said 36 on a good day

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

If it is stock with the stock air filter in place you will be lucky to see 32mph before it starts 4-stroking.

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

Agree with silver fox. But put a Leovince on it and you get close if not just over 40 on a otherwise stock hobbit.

Re: Hobbit PA50 II Fast!?

Yeah it's def. upper 30's. GPS says 36-37 top speed. I guess that's not too bad. Seemed fast sometimes.
