QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

I have searched and read nearly every thread about QT50 exhausts, and the options available. Jemco seems to be the proven winner, but that pipe is out of my price range.

Then there is the occasional unit that pops up on Ebay, but those seem few and far between.

Other than that, there is talk about custom fitting an exhaust made for another bike, such as the 2 piece Biturbo, or a Pocket Bike exhaust.

Now for my questions:

Are there any other alternatives that I may have missed?

Has anyone ACTUALLY seen or done a custom fit of a Biturbo/PB exhaust/Etc, and what were the results? (It seems that these alternatives are suggested, but nobody has actually done it...)

Thanks in advance!

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

buy the jemco....the guy hand makes them for the rpm range of that engine...it is a true chamber pipe. yes anything with a cone will give you better performance but this is the best...200 shipped....you can also buy a pw50 fmf exhaust for the same but it is not quite worth the money as the jemco is killer! my qt with jemco, vm18 carb, reeds, and clutch springs on mix gas with the big bore and head is straight rippin'. Hit 50mph's ther other day.

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

the only mod i have done to the jemco is repacked the silencer tighter with white brothers packing cause i blew the stock packing after 1 week....

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

I put on a tri zinger exhaust. I had to cut the header piece off and flip it around to the other end of header pipe and weld it on. The tri zinger is a 3 piece exhaust. Header pipe on the tri is a lot bigger (id). I have had the jemco and boy is it loud, but the increase in power is awesome. Jemco kills your take off on a 50cc. The zinger exhaust is not nearly as loud as jemco.

tri zinger engine

K&N filter

qt50 exhaust

38 mph

with tri zinger exhaust

42-43 mph on the flats (gps)oh yea im 6' 210 lbs

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

Do you have any pics of your modified tri-zinger exhaust?

I have thought about using one of those, but couldn't imagine how the chamber/muffler would mount up....

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

jemco is not that loud. jemco is the only way to go...im 6'5" and 210 and the take off is great on mine...but i had to do some clutching but i can hit 50 mphs

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

although i would probably not do the jemco unless you are going to buy the mikuni vm18 carb and switch to mix gas. the addition of this carb to the pipe was rediculous.

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

So does that mean you have a Jemco for sale, rkboco? Dibs!

Re: QT50 Performance Exhausts: Jemco Alternatives?

No. sold the jemco to someone on this site. If you are not looking for 10 mph gain. you should think about a modified Tri zinger exhaust. It boosted my speed 5 mph and not as loud.
