Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

Right on. Sure theres a little bit of glory if you are the fastest guy, but honestly, it feels damn good just to be in that front pack, and that beauty right there should be more than capable of that. This front pack keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

it pulls for 16x36 for sure. I'm about as fast as lee with his peugeot off the line for sure.

I lost my air mixture screw riding it the other night. fail. Still tuning...

GET THAT HPI WARP SPEEED!

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

is that stoney's magnum?

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

HOLY SHIT!!!!!! 45 mph!

Finally got my hpi to spark (ended up that I had some little metal shavings between the magnets which was working as a kill switch). No time to tune threw in my biggest jet and rode a 70 mile myrons ride. Atleast a got to break the rings in a bit.

Basically it just hit a wall around 48 mph. Don't think it's gearing cause it didn't lose power up hillls.

So many things to try. Pipe that no one has ran, hpi that hardly anyone uses, reed cage that no one has used. Gonna start with jetting. It's SUPER rich. Then I will try gearing. Hit almost 50 without ever getting on the pipe. Go from there. Lots of tuning to do.

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

Tommy,

Mind if I ask why the choice of pipe design? Just curious...

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

yep jetting right should get you past that wall.

Re: Sneak peak: Gilardoni 3.0 - The final level

I heard good things from the euro forums. I like to try new things. So why not. I think the pipe might be more well suited for my metra set up since the metra has much more torque and the gila is all rpms. We'll see. I still have a lot of tuning to do. Might throw the simo on and see what happens.

Could probabaly gear really low and hit high speeds, but I don't know if I want to put those kind of rpms on my crank and bearings because I know they can't handle it for too long.
