did you take out the restrictor?
dude, mine does too... no progress. when does it rattle for you, all the time? Mine only rattles for a second or so around 10-15 mph.
put your stock pipe back on and see if it makes a difference. to be honest with you i think the rattle was still there at around the same speed, but not as loud.
all slip-fit ball head spring loaded moby pipes that i have seen make noise.
mine also rattles like crazy, never could figure it out.
if you take alot of care in how the moving joints work it will not rattle i had this issue at 1st too, then i figured out how to mount it so that the joints pivot smoothly.
play with variating the motor when the bike is off with the spring not installed to see what i am talking about.
the rear arm needs to be on a certain plane to work correctly.
Elliot is spot on. also, grease all the moving parts thoroughly.
hmm seems like a pain in the ass... there are so many possible ways to mount the damn thing and it needs to be on one plane to work properly? lots of trial and error i guess.
if the ninja seems bad, don't get the doppler, it's much more dificult
I've never had problems with my doppler pipe. Just use 2 sets of springs to hold it in place and you should be all set.
it takes more than springs to mount the doppler
lol yeah the doppler mount is bollucks, i got one and ended up using my rear mounts from the ninja rather than the bulky dopper unit, it lined up much better and worked way smoother. also ahd to use the header spacer.
everyone keep in mind that all ur bikes are different, and the rider weight as well as how you have modded the frame (if u have modded the frame for the pipe) will all effect how the pipe sits, and yes there are a lot of positions and yes the pipes only like one plane to swing in.
its funny cuz the leo pipe will swing happily in many planes however unless its in a certain one u often end up stripping the cylinder threads.
O the woes of moby tech.
