seriously though, the one speed is far from abandoned, she's sitting in a milk crate on my dining room table, and I'm dreaming, dude.

in all seriousness, some south american shoe clutches for the kickstart 1 speeds have floating on ebay lately, they need to be filed a bit to fit on the shaft, and you lose your starter clutch, but they work. Other than that, you just gotta make something work.

I'm too lazy for all that shit. I'll just buy all the rubber clutches off you guys.

use a drill.

there has to be a more convenient way to start. come on people.. there's no one that's rigged these up with the starter clutch?

I have one these for sale still. It looks used on one pads and brand new on the other. Looks new but the pads need the groove deeper on the one side. I would like 65 shipped for it. I know these is the wrong forum, sorry. Ed

On a 2-speed, the pressure start clutch grips the 2nd speed rubber outside the standard star rubber... if the first gear clutch on a 2 speed is the same diameter as the single speed, then there's your pressure start shoe clutch.
