tomos clutch tuning on '07 Sprint

So here's the deal. After 3,000+ miles (800 with 65 metra) my clutches were crying out "CHANGE ME". I relined them not just in the center but throughout the metal (will post pics). Here's my question, does anyone have any true experiences in cutting the spring that hold the clutch pads together and if so how much do you cut. I read it it on a forum a while ago but have not had any luck finding it. I know the benefits of stiffer springs on a puch but i wanted to see if clutch spring on a tomos can be modified.

Re: tomos clutch tuning on '07 Sprint

how did you fit a metra on an A55? is it a Puch Metra?? A35 Metra?is there such a thing? most importantly, how does it run?

Also in answer to your question, Ive read somewhere you can cut the springs in the 1st gear clutch about a one centimeter to get better acceleration in first gear. You can also buy the green spring Tomos clutch which will yield the same benefits.

Performance Clutches

I do not have much information to add to this, but if you figure anything out, be sure to follow up on here please.

i found this by running the search with google and it lead me to the post i think you couldn't find. Now in the pics it looks like an A35 but you should check it anyway. I also took your advice on the 16 SHA. Should be in early next week.
