Angle of carb?

I ended up having to mount my 19mm Delorto carb at a slight angle (Maybe like a 20 to 30 degree) Anyways would this prove problematic?

Re: Angle of carb?

Guess I'll just try it.

Re: Angle of carb?

I've got mine at a similar angle cause of my reed valve intake.

Re: Angle of carb?

Does it run weird?

Re: Angle of carb?

i think i actually read it can be 40* off its central axis. of course i cant find the manual i read that out of... and i cant remember exactly what it said. ive never run a carb at a crazy angle like that, but i have seen some pictures of setups like that and they apparently run fine.

Re: Angle of carb?

fact.

Re: Angle of carb?

Cool. I was afraid that since the float works upon boyancy I was screwed. Thanks guys!

Re: Angle of carb?

Crazy angles are no problem. Just make sure that the float stop is bend out a lil bit, so the float bowl can fill all the way.

Carb angles rule of thumb: If it doesn't leak out of the overflow-hole, you're good to go ;)

Re: Angle of carb?

Thanks guys! The angle is not to drastic so I should be good.

My delorto is at a decent angle, still runs just fine:

Re: Angle of carb?
