moby shorty intake problem (too much air?)

i just replaced the bendy intake on my 50v with the shorty from quarterkick. i have a dellorto 15/15 mounted. it ran an idled perfectly before, but now it wont stay at idle unless i choke it. obviously, this means im getting too much air, but i dont know why. i screwed the intake on tight, snugged up the carb really well, but to no avail. i put the air filter element back on, and it idles for a little longer, but still eventually sputtered out unless i choked it. im running a no. 59 jet. is there something more obvious that im overlooking? should i just upjet?

Re: moby shorty intake problem (too much air?)

nevah mind. it was an air leak in a place so obvious that im embarrassed to say anymore.

Re: moby shorty intake problem (too much air?)

at where the intake mounts? lol

Re: moby shorty intake problem (too much air?)

haha i was gonna say "are you _sure_ its not an air leak?"

Re: moby shorty intake problem (too much air?)

lets just say that 50% of the intake was screwed on tightly.
