sabat has a rear disc brake he mentioned once
I don't know of anyone who sells rear disc-brakes for puch. It has been done tho.
You will need to lose the stock swingarm and get something beefy, so you can weld a caliper mount on it. Then find a hub or wheel that has a sprocket and a discbrake or make a disc-hub yourself. And then get it all together :P
It isn't that hard actually, just a lot of work.
I'll find you some pics later.

do you think the mt bike brake pads will wear faster due to the added weight it is stopping. How well does it work

Looks like Grafting in a Swing Arm is the way to go. (edited)

nahhh, lacing a small dirtbike hub into a moped sized rim and making a caliper bracket that attaches to a spacer on the axle is the way to go.

probably the best rear disc setup ive seen on a ped.

This shop sells some parts for putting front a rear discs on maxis. Really nice guy super helpful
VDM seems to be stepping up their game. A lot of new parts coming from them.
This isn’t worth it. The front is easy so I can see people do it but the back is just not.
with todays brake material the drum brake is still good

Man if you have not tried it don’t knock it. 70% of moped braking does come from the front wheel but with a better rear brake your stoping distance is DRASTICALLY improved. + rear skidZ.... I don’t think the front is easier if your fabbing it yourself. But if your paying for a bolt and go setup, then yes....way easier. Either way brakes are always overlooked when making these bikes twice as fast as they were intended to be.
Its a little tough to get the pedal sprocket to not get in the way of the caliper bracket, but it is do able.
Daniel, You ever run that hub i gave you?
We shelved the bike it was going on, but we will be doing it this year!

Dam you CNC that?
Of course he did. Probably 75% of the puchs running a front disk today are thanks to his adapter that treats sells.
He made that one manually. I think he got the disc water jetted. I still need to do something with it!!
*blush*
here's a thread on how I did mine, you may be able to figure out something similar with pressing a spacer into the brake hub. Positioning the caliper is the hardest part.BMW WHEEL WITH REAR DISC
