ok i am currently taking apart my a55 engine and decided hey might as well get a big bore kit while its off and now i have some questions...
whats the biggest i can get
whats the cheapest
whats the most reliable
what one gives the best performance
i will take performance over reliabilty since i will only have my ped for a year or so

oh forgot to ask about new carbs. changing the intake around and best exhaust
I think there is one kit, the 70 airsal. Its pretty cool. Carb choices, and pipe choices are pretty limited if you just want to bolt on. Any kit is going to be less reliable than stock.
Get an airsal, biturbo and bigger jetz and you good to go.

ive been looking all night and cant really find anything for the a55
the only kit i found so far that would fit the a55 is from steves moped and bicycle and thats for 219 , is there anythinhg cheaper
any puch kit will work. Duh. Same bore and stroke.

found an airsal 65cc kit does anyone have this on a streetmate?== if so is it any good

not happy yet, i realized the A55 is in fact rev limited by the new CDI ignition.
retards at higher rpm, IE you lose your power at the top end.

true well if i do buy this kit i will buy the dellorto phbg 19mm race edition carb and either a biturbo or technigas
about this cdi is it not needed i have my entire engine apart to replace a stupid seal and if it restricts it i dont want it
the CDI is the ignition system for the engine. older mopeds used points and a condenser. the CDI is electronic, and retards itself to keep the speed of the moped under the legal limit.
a-55 is a power house unless you are tryin to go crazy fast.
I would leave it alone(no kit) just change pipe + carb + gearing. My a-55 streetmate pulls my 170 pounds to 44MPH
thats on a stock topend and just for fun it is still oil-injected.

if you dont mind boring your case out and matching the transfers you canput huge kits like the bigport metra80 or the gilardoni on it. u are gonna have to make a custom intake and adjust your exhaust header to do it though.
i just bored and matched my a55 case.
i dont have a huge amount of tools or a ton of mechanical knowledge to my dispsal but it souded as though i can get rid of the electric starteer and just use the pedals and then i wouldnt have the limiter
