athena 80cc sachs kit questions?!

Hi i am seriously considering getting the athena 80cc kit for my sachs g3 with a 505D engine...i have already purchased a Simonini exhaust and am looking at carbs...my original idea was to instal the 70cc kit but it seems that it doest exist anymore, also 80cc=10ccmore= faster/more power right? my only concern is instalation of the 80cc kit i.e. is there any porting/honing necessary? how much precission work is required? thanks all! i reay apreciate all info and help in my goal of reaching 3-400 mph

Re: athena 80cc sachs kit questions?!

Yes, for proper instalation and best performance you will need to portmatch the bottom end and probably will have to cut and weld to get the pipe to fit.

Re: athena 80cc sachs kit questions?!

You won't have to do any mods to get it on, but as Broberto said, for best results portmatch it.

One word of warning tho: Sachs clutches are NOT designed to handle anything over 1.5HP and they can't handle anything over 1.5HP, so your clutch will break. Over and over again. I haven't found a fix for it, maybe someone else did.

is that so? i was pretty sure that the 505D engine was 1.9 hp...anyone got a fix for this?

Re: athena 80cc sachs kit questions?!
