What is the best setup for the vespa ciao as far as performance goes? (want this thing to hall ass!!!!) And where can I get the parts to build it? I have trouble finding parts sorta new at this moped bit but not at building engines... Any help is greatly appreciated.

70cc kit exhaut side carb set up and gearing you'll hit 55mph easily

100cc engine and custom sub frame for cooling, and some malossi rear gears, with a variator

I don't the direct answer but when I lived in Italy everyone had Pollini and Malossi parts.
Those Ciaos and Bravos where fast as hell!
You may want to think about some kinda brace for the frame. So you don't kill yourself.
I've also heard of broken welds when there is too much torque involved too.

if you want to go super fast, you're going to throw away the stock motor completely.
also, you can't build a "custom subframe" for a ciao, as there is no subframe on a ciao.

Theres a lot of modding/tuning that you can do with ciaos (check out to dual carbs), but like someone ealready said, be prepared to drop some bills.
