Do a stock Korado engine and a E50 that is case matched to a Korado top end perform the same?
Also, if I find a Korado top end that had CDI, will it run on my E50 with points?
Thank you.

The korado engines often came with roller bearing cranks, which the vast majority of e50 bottom ends did not. The korado engines also came with MUCH larger transfer ports on both the cylinder and bottom end.
"Top end" traditionally means cylinder, piston and cylinder head. Points and CDI are on the "bottom end." Typically you run points or CDI, not both. They do the same thing.
So simply case matching a Korado cylinder/top end to the E50 case will not yield the same performance.
Does anyone know or have an opinion on how reliable the Korado engine is? Compared to a kitted E50...
I am looking for reliablility and better performance without having to do too much tuning.

If the E50 case it ported exactly the same as the korado case is there will be no difference in performance between the two motors.
Korado motors came with 3 shoe clutches and roller cranks. Both of these increase the reliability of the motor. A korado cylinder is one of the best stock 50cc top ends that was ever put on puchs. But there is no replacement for displacement, a properly tuned/ported 65cc metra will walk away from a properly tuned korado motor any day.
Korado CDi will run perfectly fine on a puch e50 case.
Thank you for the info.
