This is the 200 mile examination of my Malossi 64 kit. Does everything look ok? Not really sure what to look for other than scoring and stuff, and theres none of that. Crosshatching looks good, etc. Anyone see anything off?

looks like that ash on the top of the piston maybe has a ridge if so and its a big ridge your running to hot and should get a colder plug. And with temps changing i would check your jetting again.

I'm running a B8HS right now, which is what Malossi recommended. Plug temp doesnt affect engine temp in any way, anyway. I suppose I can jet up to 80 (78 now).

ur right but the plug temps could cause that ash build up/carbon build up. if the plug is to hot it will cause preignition and not fully burn the oil fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, causing the unburned fuel/oil to cake up on the piston like it has done to u. personally idt that you piston looks bad to the point where id be worried. i might try a colder plug just cause its cheap to do and might make the ped run better.
