So how does the spark gap on the plug affect our engines. Seems like on cars a larger gap leads to more efficient burning of fuel in the chamber. Be it true for us? I opened the gap on mine from .025 to .034 and am wondering what it might change?

bigger gap is harder to fire, you need a stronger coil or really well tuned ignition system.
I think a tighter spark = stronger spark i usually roll about .020-.025 puch stock specs = .016-.020
