Maxi luxe 1980 stock. Where to go from here?

Ok, so I got my new Puch maxi luxe 2hp high torque running. Now, naturally I want to to go faster. It seems like a have a slippy clutch, because it feels like a clutch slipping in a car. Also I think I have a bad engine bearing. Also it has almost 10k on it, also it was seized, so I'm thinking a kit. Pipe and kit and any other ideas are welcome. I have some money right now, so let me know what you think.

So many answers here......what do you want out of the bike? Hill power...top speed?

well, I have a hobbit I'm working on as a hill climber/exceleration ped, so maybe like a long distance top speed cruiser kinda bike. Of course I don't want to crawl off the line, but I don't need to be popping wheelies and whatnot.

HEy mick, when I GOT my '80 Maxi luxe, which i paid 30 bucks for, it had over 11k, seized top end, and more bird shit than you could imagine. could it probably be related to yours, since I just ordered a 65 metra from treatshq, and a BOSS pipe. I'm pretty stoked, and it only came to 265 dollars. What a coincidence.

They look damn near identical. Mine cost more than twice as much as yours though, although mine did come with some free oatmeal in the float bowl. Is it just my misshapen ass, or are these seats a little on the uncomfortable side? Anyone have one of the long seat? I sawr a couple on ebay for like 10 bucks and was thinking of getting one. Also, if anyone knows a good way to clean up the spokes on the wheels, lay it on me. By good I mean fast easy and relatively shiny at the end. I cleaned mine up hella good yesterday and put some jb weld on the exhaust leak where the two pieces of pipe meat. I think the clutch is worn and I think I'm gonna just rebuild the whole engine because I'm pretty sure it needs a bearing somewhere repacked or replaced. Holler if you know a good easy way to replace/repack the bearing.
