Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

Magnum, MK65, 6P and the pedals don't clear. There is a 1" gap from the pipe to the frame mount. Anyone encountered this? I have never moded a pipe so any advice is appreciated

Bend pipe. Or, bend pedal arm.

But if you want to do it the proper way, cut the pipe up by the header and then reweld it. Muffler shops will weld it for you on the cheap.

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

Cut and weld the pipe is the best solution. Either that, or forget that the pedals don't spin all the way around and just build a spacer to take up the gap on the frame mount.

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

The Homoet 6p that i just bought from Rafter fits my Magnum (also with a 65cc Metrakit) with no pedal clearance issues, and it's sticking out one inch from the mount. Do you have Magnum-sepcific pedal arms?

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

i cut my pedal arm, added a hunk of metal and re-welded it, ill post a pic later!

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

I think they are Magnum pedal arms. For some reason someone welded the arms to the crank at some point so I am going to hack them off once I find some replacements.

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

maybe dremel the stud holes on the flange some so it can rotate a bit around the exhaust port, but the port still matches up. it won't take much at the flange to let it move an inch at the mount.

Re: Magnum + 6P Pedals don't clear

I had no clearance problems with my 6p on the magnum...
