AV7, 19mm intake, PHBG, what do I need to know?

Any problems fitting? Any good filters that fit on the setup?

Thanks!

got a proper intake?

Any get a UNI filter that clamps onto the PHBG.

Re: AV7, 19mm intake, PHBG, what do I need to know

I got a 19mm intake made specifically for mounting a PHBG onto a Moby. But someone told me I probably couldnt mount a 17mm PHBG on a 15mm intake I have which is similar to the 19. Guess he just thought wrong?

As for the filter, theres not much room under there. Not sure if a UNI would fit.

Cool thanks

Re: AV7, 19mm intake, PHBG, what do I need to know

Yeah I know all about ur bike man : ) I got the Tomos EBRs too but the non disc ones, instead I went with an over-sized drum brake.

Are you running stock gearing? Im going with a 13T front gear instead of an 11. Im not concerned much about acceleration because once my variator was stuck in high gear and it got going alright. So in addition to a higher top speed from the gearing Im looking forward to better gas mileage and lower revs at cruising speed.

Anyway, I havent made really any progress on my bike yet. All ive got done is the EBRs on, and the rear shocks on : ( But, as soon as I mount another single part on Im sure Ill post pics. Ill be like hey! look my front wheel is on now!

I do own a 19mm intake now though.

yeah its all stock gearing, i wanted to have as much acceleration as possible, and this setup with a varioplus gave it too me. i live in the city, so block to block, light to light speeds made more sense to me. with this set up it will do about 50.

Re: AV7, 19mm intake, PHBG, what do I need to know

does anyone know if that malossi filter fit a magnum with stock side covers? i know i don't "need" the covers, but they look tight.

Re: AV7, 19mm intake, PHBG, what do I need to know

Remember, 1 in the front is like 5 in the back, so running a a 13 is like dropping down 10 teeth, which should be fine. I am running a 43 sprocket in the rear and have no problems climbing hills...

...but then I have a clutch pulley and can rev out to hit my power band pretty easily. Also, I have a modified varitop/stock variator.
