Is that not a peugeot variator on a av10 bottom end? Why is the electric cable coming out of the intake manifold?

Here's the best part: It's a stock, original engine. The MBK FX dirt bike apparently came like this! Maybe Peugeot cranks just drop into motobecane engines all this time and we just never tried it?
