Im putting a straight pipe on my tomos lx a35. I was wondering what size jet on the carb you guys would recommend for this.
thanks

Why are you doing this?
I had a extra bi turbo in my garage and i figured a straight pipe would be nice
So just to be loud? Are you thinking that you will get some performance gains?
I was hoping for a litle gain
It's just going to be loud. But if you must do it, then start jetting 10 points away from where you are now.
wait r u putting a straight pipe and a biturbo, or just a straight pipe? If ur just putting a straight pipe on, ur performance will be worse. and it will be stupid loud.
no 2 stroke should be without an expansion pipe.
its a bi turbo pipe that i took the silencer off of
So does it still have the expansion chamber?
If anything you should put a more free flowing silencer on there. It will sound good, be loud, not be as restrictive...but I think no silencer will be too loud.
And definitely keep using the expansion chamber.
it still has the expansion chamber on it
cough16 New Jerseycough
dont forget to remove the exhaust belt while you are at it.
a biturbu sans can is NOT a straight pipe lol...
I hate to stereotype you Jersey Kids, but why do you ask such stupid questions. Read a book on general 2 stroke engines and find out why it is so important to have an expansion chamber and why only 4 stroke engines can get away with a straight pipe. Do yourself a favor for life and educate yourself. How can you ever think of engineering anything without knowing anything about it?
A straight pipe will rob a 2-stroke of almost all performance.
A biturbo has an expansion chamber. Run the expansion chamber, not just the header.
New Jersey....hello!

How about before you go flapping your mouth about how stupid New Jersey kids are you actually read the post as a whole and not jump to conclusions then are actually wrong, making you look like a stupid Californian.
Not saying that the OP is a genius or anything, he's a kid from NJ give home a bit of a break.
You could run a expansion chamber without an baffle but it would be stupid loud. It might have a minimal improvement on performance. The small gains compared to the damage to the relationships you have with everyone in a 5sq mile radius will not be worth it.
