Ok, so I have a Motobecane 50v, I have been doing some research and it looks like I am out of luck on any kitting...so I ask this...what can be done to a stock av7 for more power? Will adding pipes and a Dellorto do anything? Should I just give this to my wife and get a Puch Maxi?

a dellorto 15mm will help a bit, especially in terms of reliability, performance, and tunability. make sure you snag a 15mm intake to optimize performance w/ it. available at treatshq and others i think. a little porting can go a long way. milling your head down a tad can boost compression. there are some pipes that are available at QK, treats, 1977, etc.

Check out the wiki regarding porting and moby cylinders.
There's a lot you can do, and adding a pipe and carb will help, especially on a ported cylinder :D

Looks like I have the same bike. Just put a Dellorto15 on it, am trying 65 to 58 jets and other than being louder am seeing no improvement. Right now, I'm wondering why so many people recommend the Del. Damn frenchies. They look good, I agree, but I love the Derbi.
