Peugeot Project

Mo-Peds are fun!

Re: Peugeot Project

You building me a loaner for the Portland rally there Eric? Cause that's so nice of you to do.

Re: Peugeot Project

thats a crazy looking pedal thing u got there any close ups?

Re: Peugeot Project

yaaay! more good threads today.

i really gotta get my hands on one of those. a properly engineered moby!

how hard is it to swap 103 motors into a av7 chassis?

Re: Peugeot Project

Never going to happen (I guess if you really really wanted it to happen you could), and for the most part the AV10 is the better of the two when compared to the 103 engine. Less quirky stuff.

thats the same as my setup eric. its so sick. call me if you have any questions.

Re: Peugeot Project

I have those Euro style 104 style forks if you want to trade for standard 103 forks

Re: Peugeot Project

yeah, av10's are hard to find though, and spendy

Re: Peugeot Project

I don't agree with Jesse on this one.

Peugeot is much less "quirky" in my experience. Nothing is reverse threaded, and they accept normal bosch electronics. Comes stock with reed-valve. The forks and wheels interchange with puch. Also a lighter frame.

This bike is weird, because the swingarm starts behind the pulley. Most Peugeot mopeds have a long swingarm that pivots from the engine mounts up front. That's great because you don't torque and stretch the drive chain when you hit bumps. It sucks, because there isn't as much room for crazy carb/intake shit.

This one has room for intake shit, since the swingarm starts half-way back. I've never seen one like this. Brennan O and Creature Lee have rigid 103's with tons of room for intake shit, and wont stretch the drive chain.

I'm also putting forks on this bike from an 08' tomos.

Re: Peugeot Project

AV10s don't have any reverse thread parts either, except on the back of the variator, they usually come with super reliable cdi, and the engine mount doesn't make me want to cry. Plus native v-reeds, ooohhhh

Re: Peugeot Project

yay!

Re: Peugeot Project

i agree with eric. suck to a moby. lets not forget they have shitty mounts, swings around by the head, uses difficult to find bearings, shitty ingition systems that slip and break, shitty brakes that you can't get pads for, shitty pulleys that are made from pot metal., stupid forks that cannot be overhauled. i do however like, the decomp valve, very clean.

peugeot engines mount easily, have normal bearings, don't require a puller for the clutch/variator... blah blah blah. peugeot is le sick as fuck.

Re: Peugeot Project

ive got those wheels

Re: Peugeot Project

ALSO, peugeot>motobecane.

Peugeot Project

WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

FRANCE FUCK THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!

Eric, I'm 85% sure that you will be riding the rigid in Kzoo. I'm just waiting on tires from 77 and a coil from an old man in Texas.

Only thing is that you AREN'T allowed to crash it, b/c it's super clean. My only clean moped!

Re: Peugeot Project

💀Kim Jong illest💀 /

Re: Peugeot Project

I want that frame.. seriously...

Re: Peugeot Project

I love a motobecane, but peugeot is my current obsession.

I can't think of a moped that I don't like... maybe the solo engine.

Re: Peugeot Project

Peter, Chad Burke told me that you had those wheels when I was chatting with him today on the phone.

Re: Peugeot Project

Lookin' good sir :D odd ass bike, and I think it fits nicely within your collection lol

what kit is that goin' on there? what pipe you plannin' on using?

I'm still thinking over my TSM build... haven't quite settled on a few things =P

Pretty sure I'm gonna be water-cooling it tho, and most likely malossi everything... ('cept pipe)

I really <3 those wheels too... and your drive-pulley is gnarly lookin'... is that some fan-action?

P.S. That's a euro-bike, no?

Re: Peugeot Project

Bitchin mags, man.

Re: Peugeot Project

i've been trying to get a set of those wheels from ebay.fr for a while now. let me know if you don't want them. serious.

otherwise that shit is nice. and the pulley/fan thing is interesting too.

Re: Peugeot Project

there's no fan on the pulley. Just a sweet sticker.

I've decided to run the polini 70 kit, and the ninja G3. I'm porting a stock case for now (shit's expensive) and building it up with stock crank, clutch and variator.

I'll somehow find money for a malossi variotop, polini cases and a tension spring later on.

Money's tight, so this is going to move slowly.

Re: Peugeot Project

I feel that mang lol Those stock cranks are pretty solid tho, so I think you'll be okay in that area for a while.

Are you gonna cut out a third transfer port in the Stock case?

Re: Peugeot Project

Eric, when you switch to a variotop, ditch the G3.

Re: Peugeot Project

update?

Re: Peugeot Project

It's alive.

Pictures tomorrow.

I got race cases.

Re: Peugeot Project

i'm gonna smoke yer ass eric!! love ya!

Re: Peugeot Project
