Clubman bar installation

Thinking about some clubmans for my Grande...do you guys have to cut cables or anything installing shorter bars, or you just reroute to use up the extra slack?

Re: Clubman bar installation

the proper thing to do would be to trim them down, but most people are too lazy and leave huge nasty loops of wire sticking out of their bars

Re: Clubman bar installation

I put clip-ons on my Peugeot 103, and replaced all the cables at eh same time with new ones of the correct length (needed them anyway). If your cables are still good trim them, it looks way better. If your cables have fixed ends you can get new ones that just solder on with a torch, saves you from trying to buy premade ones at the exact length.

Re: Clubman bar installation

Sorry for the crappy quality!

Re: Clubman bar installation

Looks great, rides like crap. Just a few inches too low. I think I will be trying some flat bars, see if ti rides right.

Re: Clubman bar installation

you have the bars pointed way to low. The middle is suppose to be a little flat.

Re: Clubman bar installation

there is no set way to install them, do whatever feels comfortable and gives you the best steering when leaning in.
