Hey guys i've never put a kit on a ped before so ima ask.
I have a 1977 E50 i want to put the Athena 70cc kit on from treats.
My question is the kit doesnt come with the head soooo will my stock head work? i dont think it will without some boreing out soooo um yea. Will it work or am i just being dumb.
Stock head will fit just fine on any kit

what size carb do you guys think would be a good combo for the 70cc athena kit?
id like to ride this bike on the regular so nothing crazy.
Dellorto 19mm I think. You need a new pipe too.
17mm amal carb fits nice and works great
I've had exp with the Delortos but not so much on the Amals......i guess i'll start looking for a 19 del with a lever choke.

i dont think a 19mm will bolt right up. are you makeing a custom intake?
No i think its gonna be fine, i was tinking about the Athena kit from Treats
But looking at Mopedshop.com, the only 19s they have are cable choke and id rather have the lever type choke found on the 18mm.

the only way to get the stock head to work is with either a ton of base or head gaskets or by cutting the squish band out farther. invest in a 70cc high comp head if you're going to go big. gaskets are lame.
And where would i find one of these hi comp 70cc headz?
