You can kinda make it fit.. you need to do a little cutting on the swingarm. Just bust out the old dremel and cut the forward section of the cross piece out. I also cut down the spigot piece of the carb a little and that will help as well. You want try and get the carb as close as you can to the motor. I also hacked off the vacuum piece on the one side of the carb and epoxy over that to help make some room. Anyways, lots of work...

Thanks guys, I was worried about taking that brace out in the swingarm, but after realising just how beefy it is (and going through 15 cutting wheels getting a chunk out) I think I'm feeling better.

I took it from the corner bends to the first center hole, and did a bit of cleanup around the welds. Still got bumps, don't want to go through the wall, but it fits a bit better.

Went with Lee's advice, chopped a nice piece of the intake out.

Making some more lightweight paper gaskets for the intake, and I might take some sandpaper to work tomorow and grind down the engine side of the intake as well, maybe take a bit off the reed valve case while I'm at it.

With what I've already done it seems like it's going to work, I will have to get a new hose hooked up, going swing by McGuckins (the everything store) tomorow and see what I can find, hose would do, but I'd rather use a bit of piping if I can find a close enough fit.

Worse comes to worse I could also take a bit off the front of the carb, I believe, but as Lee said, it was an expensive hunk of metal...

Yeah it will fit, I have the same carb and case and it works fine, it is a bit of pain though.

Nah, I'm way out of chains, don't even have enough for all the bikes I have.

All the moped shops sell 'em. Some motorcycle shops can do it as well, just bring the old chain in with ya. The 115 is pretty standard with mopeds.

You should sell me that rear sprocket though.

You should really save yourself the headache and swap for a regular clamp on dellorto.

And yeah, you should almost never gear out a variated moped unless you have a pretty torquey kit.

I had the same problem, and switched to a clamp mount. It's the best option but I don't totally like the way the clamp works. It's kind of hard to explain but when you tighten it, the pressure is concentrated in one area, instead of all the way around, and because of that I can never get it tight enough. I am putting on some springs to secure it to the intake, because one time it was slipping off which caused a huge air leak and I seized.

I had to grind out some of the swingarm so that the idle screw wouldn't hit it. Not a big deal, just use a dremel and a tungsten carbide bit.
