ok so I found the kit, I think. I have the Franco Morini MO1 engine and the kit is made for the MO2 but I think they're interchangeable, right? Anyway my question is do you think I can install it myself? I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I've never worked on an engine before. The kit will be $250 shipped and if I get it installed it's probably another $300 or so, 'm kinda tight on cash. I was told that it has to be done perfect and tuned perfect, is my moped mechanic just trying to scare me?

ha ha ha, I put sooooo much time into finding it. I think it was the last one. But I've got a lot of "feelers" out there and I might be able to find another one. I think the guy from treatsHQ is getting one in a few weeks.... the guys at quarterkick are looking into it as well. I'll keep you guys posted. I don't want to say exactly where I found it yet because I haven't bought it yet. I'm not even sure if it's the right one. Do you guys know if the one for the MO2 will fit my MO1? I think it does because I was told that this kit was the right one:
Any way I swear I'll tell you guys if I find another one. But in the meanwhile I need to find out how to install it (properly) without going broke.
M01 and M02 cylinders are interchangeable so they're kits should be too.
alright, alright... it was Angelo (what did you expect?). Yeah it was ridiculously expensive, but hey, fuck it. If it destroys my engine I might hurt myself a little though. I've but way to much into my little moped when I could have just gotten a Puch or Tomos or something. Oh well. I still need to find a way to get it installed without giving up food.
MO2 is just the 2 speed version of the MO1
