Just ordered my Gila 80cc Kit + Simo Exhaust.
I was sitting there for like 5 minutes with my finger on the "Place your Order Now" button on Ebay. I was having last second thoughts of maybe saving an butt load of money and just hit up a cheap TCCD kit. Fuck It, I just had to do it.
What kind of performance should I be expecting out of this setup?

I only went ahead and bought these 2 items since I heard the GILA was out of production and will be hard to find sooner or later.

There is alot on this kit. I would never buy something without read up on it first. Classic first timer.

There's actually not a ton on here about this kit. I did a search and there's not nearly as much as compared to the 80 metra, or any other kit at all.
I've got one coming, so we'll see how it goes.

I've read EVERY single thread on gila kits and know whatsup. Already have a guesstimate as to mikuni carb settings for break in and ideas for properly grinding down the case to fit that HUGE piston skirt.
It's really not all that hard to install this kit, people are just scared of dremeling their case and turning it into a worthless piece of metal.
Only reason I made this thread is to see how other guys with similar setups doing during break-in or post-break in.
btw, Mopagen....I noticed you reside in Hagerstown. We should have a DC Metro area ride when I get this magnum project done during the summer time! There are so sick roads in our area its atrocious.

the roads around Blacksburg will be AWESOME for riding that. I THINK Hippy is using that set up on a Magnum he is working on. I could be absolutely incorrect on this one. I will talk to him and see.
Yeah there are a TON of great rides around here. Long stretches of country road for miles for those crucial tuning plug chops and finding out your max speed :]

I used to ride out Roanoke St make the turn at the cemetary and ride out into the valley....GORGEOUS.
I will be down there in the next couple weeks and want to try and bring a bike to ride with you guys
Joe that sounds great. The ride you mention is fucking awesome. Not too many cars and theres a lot of twist and turns to fly around.
