I just go a Jawa 130 a couple weeks ago. It's completely stock and tops out at about 25-27 mph. I was wondering if there were any easy changes I could make to it to get a little more speed. I am really only looking to get about 5 mph more. Just hoping to average just over 30mph. Any thing I can do?
Get rid of the stupid carb thats on there, make a performance pipe fit, port top end, shave head, play with gearing...lots of things you can do.

Any suggestions as to what a good carb replacement would be or new pipe?
You are going to have to make anything that you get work. I dont know what the intake bolt spacing is on jawas, so I have no recs on that. Dellortos are great, so look into that. Also, you can adapt any pipe to work. Puch pipes are my favorite b/c they are cheap and plentiful.

That's a nice looking bike man, I've got two of em. Besides the carb, you could throw a biturbo or any other pipe on that bike if ya know someone with a welder. You would have to cut the flange off the end of both pipes, swap the jawa flange for the new pipe flange and weld them up. The hole in the center of the Jawa flange will probably be smaller than the diameter of the pipe you would be welding it to, but all you have to do is grind out any excess material with a dremel.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from took really nice care of it, but had a few other peds so I don't think he cared to try to do much with it and left it stock. I really dig riding the thing, nice ride and fun, but I just want a little more speed out of it. I saw Vlado mentioned a few other things to do like drilling through the buffer and what not, so I'll try that and the new carb once I find one. Not sure if I can find anyone with a welder though or if I would know what I'm doing enough to try to pull that one off, we'll see. I'm still trying to learn how to do all this stuff, but I'll keep throwing up pictures as I progress.
The pipe can definitly wait. Swap the carb before you do anything. I'm going to have to do this soon too, so keep in touch. I bet you could use JB Weld on the exhaust flange and have it work out just fine. That would be a lot cheaper and easier than finding someone to weld it.
So, how much do dellorto carbs usually run. And is there a certain size or anything else I might need to swap it for the jikov? and finally, would you happen to know where to pick one up or should I just post on the buy/sell board?

DellOrto carb is SHA 14.12P. They are used on Tomos bikes. I'm still looking for a place to buy one. I was going to see if Treats ebay store had any. They don't have any up on the store page. You could ge this one.
