K&N?? nah dude, it's not a car, get a unipod FOAM filter...the other ones just stop rocks...not dirt
but heard that those are really loud and sound junky, plus they look stupid.
if my uni is making any 'junky' noises, i can't hear it over the sound of my pipe.
stereotypical....rofl.
LOL, yeah it was. but all flaming aside kiddo.....what the hell kind of noise is an air filter going to make? that'll seriously be the first i've heard of it. if you're worried about the noise; blow in it, and tell me what it sounds like matter-a-fact...record it, mp3 format that shit and email it to me. if YOU can hear whatever that sounds like over your engine running...then you're actually just pedaling down the block get what i'm saying?
foam filter FTW
whoever told you they sound junky FTL(oss)
p.s. jersey sure does rack up UNcool points
How many jets should u go up?
exactly four. psh. i don't know man. it depends where you live, if its cold, if its hot, etc.
part of jetting is trial and error. go up a few sizes and see how it runs.
But would that K&N still fit on my stock carb with mods?
Without*
no you are not riding a motorcycle man. get a moped air filter. K&N is for cars and motorcycles. as for jetting, jake is right, buy 8. start at the highest one and work backwards, til your plug chops turn out nice and brown.
the foam serves a purpose on a uni pod air filter...u run a K&N with that cotton screen thing or whatever the hell it is...you're going to be running super duper lean..eventually seizing and or scoring the sides of your cylinder. get a foam filter. doesn't have to be the red unipod filter. just make sure it's a foam one
well isnt that what upjetting is for
argh!
I QUIT
im just trying to find out if that filter will fit on my streetmate. so if someone can please give me a straight answer, please. Thx
you might want to listen to these guys...although the K&N filter might look cool on there..if you use it and tiny dirt particals could jack up your cylinder walls. They are just telling you that getting a foam filter is a much better idea...and you will still have tons of air flow.
this post should be in the new TOMOS FORUM
you CAN get foam attachments for a k&n air filter.
plus they have awesome warranties.
yes, the K&N will fit without mods. you just need a coupler.
You should put it on your ped! THEY ARE GREAT!
---____---;;
sike.
HEY - new jersey fucking rules. ok, corey?
. . . you and your trashy foam filters . . .
. . . grumble grumble grumble . . .
Soo lets call vote shall we. unipod or K&N?
the vote is ALREADY in, had you not been reading?!???!?
NO ONE ADD TO THIS
im adding.
K&N
^V^
how many of you have actually HAD a K&N air filter?
i mean seriously
how many of you are actually old enough to buy cigarettes?
i mean seriously.
lmao! really dude...i've been tuning cars for more than half your life...SERIOUSLY K&N is NOT the end all be all of air filters alright? stop watchin info mercials. even on REAL race cars they use foam filters. not just screen mesh like on a K&N, because it doesn't keep out the shit that will tear your car up. read up on dragon intakes, and HKS mushroom filters ok?? then get back to me
THIS IS A MOPED get some FOAM
