You have the 3 screws holding the stator plate to the engine. Put the screws in the center of the hole they are in. Put the points in their place. Take the spark plug out of the head. Turn flywheel until the piston is at it's highest point. Adjust the points with a screwdriver and a feeler guage .020 I think? put the spark plug in the plug boot, hold it to your cylinder head, spin the flywheel to see if it has spark. If it sparks, put the plug in the head, replace the plug boot, and try to start it.
Those 3 screws that hold the stator plate on, that is where you will adjust your timming from there. If it needs any turning from the center, turn it very slightly, to the left. Only adjust it a few degrees. See how it runs. It may take awhile to dial it in. Good luck , Brent
